FOH2016LOGOFestival of The Arts 2016

Artists, Musicians, Poets & Others Wanted

The Diamond Valley Arts Council (DVAC) is calling for artists, musicians, poets, playwrights and others to enter their original works in the 11th Annual Festival of the Arts. The Festival will take place over the weekend of October 21, 22, & 23, 2016 at the Arts Center located at 123 N. Harvard St. in Downtown Hemet.
A major component of the annual Festival is the judged Art Exhibition which showcases the works and talents of local and regional artists in 9 forms of art – 2D, 3D and Digital in the Visual Arts Category; Dance, Music and Film in the Performance Arts Category; and 1-Act Play, Poetry and Short Story in the Literary Arts Category.  This year we have selected a theme of “Everything Under the Sun” to draw attention to the wealth of arts and cultural activities available in our community.
Artworks selected for the exhibition will be debuted during the Festival Weekend which is held in conjunction with the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Harvest Festival on October 22, 2016. Other aspects of the Festival include a Friday evening concert with jazz guitarist, Jac Jacaruso, family fun activities on Saturday and live performances and recitations of the Performance and Literary Arts entries on Sunday afternoon.
