The Esplanade Arts Center is a 10,000sqFt center housing an Art Gallery, Black Box Theater and Classroom space. It is operated by the Diamond Valley Arts Council and is located in the Fresh and Easy Shopping Center on the corner of Esplanade and Sanderson in San Jacinto.

The Diamond Valley Arts Council announces its fifth annual summer arts program. The focus is on education and training through participation. There is something for all interests.  This year’s workshops include music, art, theater, dance and video.

The Diamond Valley Arts Council invites your participation in displaying your tattoo art.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2014. The display will be for tattoos only. The show is a family event. There is a $7 entry fee, payable when your entry is accepted for the art show. A panel of judges will present awards in a number of categories.

Lion in Winter 539Theatre Summer Workshops for Youth

Inland Stage Company announces its annual Summer Theatre Workshops, as part of Diamond Valley Arts Council’s Summer Programs for Youth.  Three distinct workshops begin on July 15 for ages 13 years and older.

Acting Fundamentals (Basic Skills for Acting) is a 4-week program, Monday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm. Jim Marbury, Inland Stage Company’s Artistic Director, explains that he will instruct students “in a variety of acting techniques: Improvisation, Cold Reading, Scene Study and Monologues.”  The class fee is $60.

Dance as Art & Serious Play

A one-week program for middle school and high school students.  P.L.A.C.E. Performance members will instruct students in dance technique, composition, and improvisation as a part of The Diamond Valley Arts Council’s Summer Programs for Youth. June 10th-14th (10:00 am to noon), Esplanade Arts Center, 2181 W. Esplanade Ave., San Jacinto, CA. The fee is $75.

P.L.A.C.E. Performance (Possibility Location Artistry Collaboration Evolving) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing performing opportunities for local, emerging choreographers and dancers utilizing non-traditional performing spaces with the intention of strengthening community bonds through the shared experience of dance and performance art.
